What does the word “Muse” make you think of?
When I chose the name and bought this domain years ago, my purpose was to create a blog that would feature the goings-on at my needlework shop, Traditional Stitches, as well as generate some discussion about samplers.
This is what I had written for my not-to-be-published-for-2-years Welcome message:
Wikipedia defines “Muse” in the classic mythological way: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muses
Some words jump out immediately. “History”, “Inspire”, “Arts”, “Knowledge”, “Creation”. While Greek mythology is not what I had in mind when I named this blog, the essence is the same…inspiration, problem solving, study, consideration, so let’s see where this takes us.
I’m *very* new to blogging so expect to have quite a learning curve. I hope to post a couple of times each week.
For a chuckle, please visit the following link and tell me if the second definition isn’t totally appropriate for us stitchers! http://onlinedictionary.datasegment.com/word/muse
While I still think we’ll enjoy discussing samplers, I find that I’m not taking life quite so seriously these days
You are welcome to post comments here or reach me by email: janice@traditionalstitches.com. You can also email me suggestions for links to web sites and blogs to be included here but I promise to be terribly fussy about the appropriateness of the content that I publish so please understand that in advance.
